Unusual Gift Wrapping Ideas
We all know that the traditional way to wrap a Christmas gift during the holidays is with traditional wrapping paper. Do you ever get tired of using the same kinds of Christmas paper every year? Well, at Moxii, we like to mix things up a bit and see where our creativity takes us. We’ve come up with several different wrapping materials for your Christmas presents this year, and we hope that you find it fun! Be sure to let us know if your attempts are successful! Here are some ideas:
1. Mix it up: Bandanas, Handkerchiefs, and Tissues

Here is a perfect example of how to mix up those gift wrapping materials and use things that are a little out of the ordinary. This idea would be most suitable for smaller gifts, of course, but you could always combine these materials for a bigger gift. To best finish off the wrapping, tie the ends of the handkerchief together or use some fun ribbon or fringe to tie off the ends. Viola! Your hand-wrapped and creative gift is ready to give.
2. Get Creative: with Around the House Papers

Get creative with gift wrapping those presents by using materials you could easily find around your house. Pictured above are several unusual but sure-to-surprise examples of creative resources. Old book pages, craft pages that your kids have doodled on, even a calendar page with dates marked on them all work for this savvy do-it-yourself project. The key here is creativity. The more the better!
3. Be Organic: Burlap Sacks
Have you gotten into that organic trend that seems to be everywhere now? Well, we have too it seems. Here’s an idea for those of you who love to make use of the already used. The best way to get a hold of burlap sacks is to try your local coffee stores, and see if they have any left sacks from their coffee beans. You can also find left over bags at salvage stores that sell for pretty cheap. Add some beautiful ribbon and your thrifty wrapping will be a sure hit!
4. Make it Educational: Use those left over state Maps

This happens to be one of our favorites. Have any old maps that you never use anymore stuffed in the creases of your car? Well, don’t let them just sit there any longer. Take them out and wrap a few gifts with them! Try combining it with some interesting ribbon or a shoelace. We like the raffia tie around the gift above too! (PHOTO: momadvice.com)
5. Be Frugal: Newspaper with a flair

Newspaper is always interesting to wrap something with because it tells a story! The graphics and print on most newspapers make for a trendy alternative to traditional Christmas paper. Add some festive red or green ribbo, a nice card and you are set!
Hope these unusual but creative wrapping ideas gave you some inspiration this Christmas. For any last minute gift ideas, be sure to visit the Moxii website for some great Christmas deals!
