Moxii’s New Coffee Bag Pillows

It seems like these coffee bean bag pillows are everywhere these days, and it’s true. Over the last year or so, the “coffee bag” trend has exploded and Moxii is jumping right in on it. These bags are cheap, trendy, and a great use of old material. You can do so much with them, too. Moxii now has these fun Coffee Bag pillows at the retail store location now! Since we’re on the topic of “Coffee Bags,” lets see what other ways you can use those old sacks. We’ve found some great ideas and pictures from houzz.com on a variety of ways to put those old bags to good use. Take a look:

We really like the use of on a old coffee bag to revamp an antique bench. It gives it a lot of flair without taking away from its much earned charm! The great thing about these old bags is that the bold print usually found on them makes for an interesting graphic in your space, and anchors the room all the more!

At first glance, you might miss the subtle bean bag casually draped on the back porch, but it’s there, giving the outdoor space a little bit of an ole Paris market charm. Combine that with the addition of the complementary natural linens, and you got yourself a great little space.

Another very cute idea for a casual pillow! Maybe you are having trouble finding just right coffee bean bag, try some natural burlap instead! By finding a good stamp and some black ink, you can create the personalized look you want all by yourself!

Here’s another great idea for those coffee bags: an “Inspiration Board.” It’s a great place to keep all those pictures or scraps of things or ideas that inspire you to be more creative.

It’s important to remember that the burlap sack look isn’t just reserved for the casual. Done right, burlap can produce quite the sophisticated look. Take for example the picture of the dining table chairs above. The combination of the burlap with the nail head trim is, in our opinion, very nice!

Moxii Has Just Returned From Market

Alright…the sky doesn’t really glow orange and the trees are not full of white leaves, but the Atlanta Market is quite impressive. If you’ve ever been there, you might have felt a little overwhelmed at first by the monstrosity of the four buildings that make up the entire market. But, as big as it is, that’s where we go to find the latest in trends and design. Moxii is committed to finding the best products for our clients. As a matter of fact, Moxii just returned from market last week and picked up some great new ideas and products! New Year’s Room Resolutions

Believe it or not, but 2009 is over and 2010 is already here! As many of us know, when a new year rolls in, resolutions start flying. Well, why not trying some “Room Resolutions” this year too? With the help of some tips from the House Beautiful website, Moxii has found some great ideas for some New Year’s Room Resolutions that we think you might find not only inspiring, but helpful (all photos from www.housebeautiful.com).  Here’s what we found:

Cord Free:

It’s 2010 everyone, and if you haven’t discovered wireless, than put it on your “to-do” list this year. Wireless internet, and wireless printing: it’s super fast and very convenient for all of us who are on the move from room to room a lot. Most importantly, it looks so much better than having a bunch of tacky black cords hanging all over your workspace area. Cord Free= Clutter Free.

Creative Hat Racks:

At first look, it’s slightly questionable, but very creative when it comes to making a statement in an otherwise boring hallway. It’s a great idea for mudroom or even in a boy’s room. Hey, if those antlers are going to be on the wall, why not use them right? The key to this look though is organization. If it’s a jumbled mess, than those great looking antlers probably won’t help.

Get Organized:

One of the most important things to remember when it comes to the great design of a room is organization. You can have a beautiful space, but if it’s a mess than it loses a lot of its luster. It completes the space, not only making it more appealing, but practically making it more livable.

A  Simply Entryway:

One of the easiest ways to make a functional statement in a house is to focus on your entryway. Foyers are often forgotten in homes, but they do serve a purpose. First, they serve as a taste of the style of a home upon walking in, hopefully enticing your guests to see more. But designed right, they  also have a functional aspect to them, allowing one to put down a heavy bag or sit in a chair to take off an extra layer of clothing from the elements.

Living Room Storage:

Last but not least is the issue of storage. It goes back to organization and to keep the look of a space by keeping it clean. One way to do that is to have proper storage. Take for example the living room pictured above. It’s clean, trendy, but it’s livable, and with cabinets and ottomans with hidden storage. You can be playing with the kids one minute, and then having a dinner party the next!
